Aluratek is a consumer electronics brand that offers a variety of products for the ever growing mobile device age where connectivity solutions are an important part of our lifestyles. The following are some examples of studio and lifestyle imagery that was created to support the product launch. Images are important because they are used in sales and marketing efforts. I take special care to craft these images in order to tell a story about each device. Most of the product below can be seen at aluratek.com
I've created sooo many product images over the years so it was difficult to choose, but here are some of my favorites:
1. The "Libre" was a line of ebook readers that Aluratek launched when ebook readers were all the rage. The "Libre Air" had by far the best looking tooling design. I took extra care to "photoshop" this family shot as I planned to feature the product on our CES booth. All screen shots were hand illustrated for the images.
2. No one at the office had a car with an old cassette deck so we turned to stock imagery and imposed our cassette tape in place of the one in the stock image as well as the cassette resting beside the walkman.
3. Every Bluetooth earbud and headphone featured in these lifestyle images have been photoshoped onto stock images. Once a "model" is chosen, I photograph the product on my own head using a camera remote or I will photograph an associate.
4. The process is the same as above. Finding the right image is so important. One could spend hours searching for the right image as was the case for these images...but when you find it you just know.
5. This IP camera was a bit tricky because I wanted to photograph it mounted but did not want to actually mount the camera to my own office wall. I took several pictures while my hand was holding the camera in different places and "stitched" the images together. This is a process I have used time and time again to get around any photoshoot dilemas.
6. A combination of my own photography and image manipulation with stock images to show the features of the 4-in-1 Emergency Vehicle Safety Tool. That's my car door, my seatbelt and the pavement in the office parking lot.
7. I spent a ton of time on a dozen images for this Bluetooth speaker flashlight. I spent half the day at the regional park photographing the product. I went in the morning for the best light and the cloud cover was helpful...everything turned out great until production was canceled last minute. Bummer.
8. A mix of my own photography mixed with stock. All screenshots are simulated.
9. These wall plate chargers are a pretty good idea. They are very easy to intsall and you get instant USB charging ports. I took special care to photograph these installed at my own house and imposed them into stock lifestyle environments.
10. One of our more popular Internet Radios, this unit ran on an Android OS. The screenshots were custom designed.
